HARRISON, NY (November 20, 2025) – URC, a leader in global smart residential and commercial automation, and Autonomic, a pioneer in streaming and multi-room audio solutions, today announced a new integration that unites Autonomic’s award-winning Mirage Media Servers and newly announced Streaming Amplifiers with URC’s Total Control® platform. This collaboration gives dealers and end-users powerful, streamlined control of high-resolution streaming audio throughout homes and businesses.
Autonomic’s Media Server portfolio includes the MMS-1e, M3, and M5 Pro Music Servers, streaming amplifiers MA4 and MA6, as well as a number previous generation servers, which continue to be supported in URC. Autonomic provides solutions that offer up to five independent audio outputs in a single chassis, all capable of delivering local and internet-based content with Autonomic’s signature TuneBridge® functionality. With the new URC integration, each output maps directly into the Total Control environment, making multi-room audio setup and management easier and more reliable.
This integration delivers access to all major streaming services, local libraries, and high-resolution audio formats directly within Total Control. Dealers can program robust one-way commands for standard playback and navigation, while end-users benefit from fully interactive two-way control interfaces across URC’s extensive lineup of devices, including handheld remotes, in-wall touch screens, tabletop controllers, and mobile apps.
URC and Autonomic have worked together for more than a decade to bring advanced audio capabilities into integrated control environments. Early collaborations included modules for Mirage Amplifiers such as the M-400, M-800, M-120e, and M-801e. These amplifier drivers allowed up to 32 zones of audio to be managed directly within Total Control, complete with event triggers, status queries, and robust macro support. Recently these modules have been updated to add Matrix Mode support for the M3 and M5 Pro, as well as native control of the new MA4 and MA6 Streaming Amplifiers.

The Mirage Media Server modules built on this foundation, providing access to streaming services, local music libraries, and multi-zone distribution across URC Accelerator operating system environments. Over the years, both companies have continued to release updated modules to ensure compatibility with new URC system versions, enhanced graphics, and more responsive performance.
This consistent collaboration has made Autonomic products a trusted part of the URC ecosystem, giving professional installers and end-users a proven path to reliable, feature-rich multi-room audio automation. The new module represents the latest milestone in this ongoing partnership, reinforcing URC and Autonomic’s shared commitment to innovation and integration.
The new integration delivers significant benefits for installers and end-users:
- Unified Multi-Room Control – Each Mirage Media Server output integrates seamlessly into the Total Control environment, allowing independent management of up to five streams from a single server.
- Flexible Automation – Expanded macro and event support enables sophisticated programming that combines audio with lighting, climate, shades, and security.
- Faster, More Reliable Performance – Optimized IP communication reduces latency, improves metadata updates, and ensures tighter zone synchronization.
- Consistent User Experience – Two-way feedback and intuitive interfaces give end-users simple, consistent control across remotes, touch screens, tabletop controllers, and mobile apps.
- Dealer Efficiency – Certified integration ensures streamlined setup, reduces programming time, and delivers stable, predictable results for professional installers.
“The Mirage Media Server is recognized as one of the most flexible and powerful platforms in the streaming audio market,” said Lars Granoe, VP of Product Development at URC. “This integration gives our dealers a seamless way to combine Autonomic’s audio expertise with Total Control’s automation capabilities, while delivering end-users an intuitive and enjoyable experience.”
Autonomic leadership also highlighted the benefits of the integration. “Our mission has always been to make high-resolution streaming and distributed audio effortless,” said Anders Constantin, Senior Developer and Head of URC Module Development at Autonomic. “By deepening our partnership with URC, we’re extending the reach of the Mirage Media Server into advanced automation environments where audio, lighting, climate, and security all work together. The result is a more complete solution for both of our customers.”
