HARRISON, NY (May 18, 2020)—URC, a global leader in smart automation and control for residential and commercial applications, launched today a two-way IP module for integration of its award-winning Total Control system with Russound MBX Streaming Audio Solutions. The module is available today to authorized URC installers via URC’s dealer portal.

The module supports both the Russound MBX AMP and MBX PRE models, which both feature streaming services from Spotify® Connect, Tidal®, Sirius XM®, Deezer®, TuneIn® and vTuner®, giving the homeowner a plethora of streaming services to choose from using any URC Total Control User Interface. Homeowners can easily select and control songs, playlists and favorites, view metadata, browse content and manage groups. Homeowners can also set and recall favorite songs or playlists directly from any URC Total Control Interface.
Russound’s MBX-AMP is a full-featured streaming audio player with a built-in amplifier; the MBX-PRE is a preamp-only (non-amplified) version designed to be the perfect streaming audio source for Russound’s MCA-Series amplifiers / controllers like the MCA-66 and MCA-88. URC announced a module to control Russound’s MCA-Series amplifiers / controllers last November.
